Helping families by helping build a new brand.
Whole family healing.
Our Challenge
Limited funding.
MDFT was an innovative new treatment program funded for a limited time and available at several different mental health providers across the state. Our challenge was to help non-profit providers educate healthcare organizations, schools, mentors, judicial systems, and parents about how MDFT worked. Then, where they could find it.
Our Solution
Unlimited potential.
We developed a strategic launch plan and creative campaign that cut through the clutter and raised awareness about how MDFT was different from other options. It included a website, collateral pieces, event banners, and more. “Rethink Recovery” challenged the status quo and encouraged audiences to learn more about the innovative program.
Logo
Revolutionary. And really cool.
If we were encouraging audiences to rethink recovery, we needed to rethink how we approached the creative execution. No photos. No scare tactics. No admonishment. Instead we illustrated likeable characters that were familiar but anonymous in a style that was sure to stand out at doctors’ offices and school counselors’ rooms. And we focused not just on the teen, but the whole family.
Collateral
Education first.
The Red Dot team wrote and designed effective posters and brochures for mental health counselors to use during meetings with healthcare workers, school counselors, and judges. We also developed materials to place in key locations so parents and teens could understand the lesser known signs of addiction and learn more about treatment.
Website
Multidimensional marketing.
The printed materials we created drove audiences to a campaign-specific microsite we wrote and designed featuring more education about MDFT, how it works, and its proven effectiveness. Once there, viewers could easily navigate to a list of providers with a handy map of locations—the first step toward recovery.
